Proof that I was unclear as to "What is a Contributor?": I mistakenly mentioned in the first version of this post that I previously backed Clark Shaughnessy (since edited). I did, but as a Coach Candidate because of his many CONTRIBUTIONS to the offensive and defensive strategic histories that still impact the game today. That doesn't change my choice of Hay as the Contributor for the HOF 2025 Class, admittedly not a popular pick for some reason.

Couldn't agree more - Ralph Hay seems to be the definition of contributor. Without his efforts, there is no NFL.
