I have a hard tine thinking Penn State drops lower than 6 at worst, and could stay at No. 5, right? Only loss was by one score to Ohio State (which doesn’t feel as ugly as Texas dropping to a three-loss Georgia), and by and large they hung with Oregon on Saturday night.
I do agree, Alabama or SMU or even Indiana feel like potential opponents in what should be one of the most raucous atmospheres of the playoff.
No dog in the fight but I find the proactive "victim card" posturing pretty amusing - especially considering that the CFB field has been expanded from 4 to 12.
You're never going to make everyone happy - and if a team doesn't want to be on the bubble, the solution is to win one more game. There's no 1-loss, Power-5 team even close to the outside looking in (although Army might make for a fascinating 5 vs. 12 opponent)
So I'll just get my popcorn and watch the social media entertainment at noon.
