NFL Draft Scout Breakdown on Feldman's top rated freaks

At NFL Draft Scout we love to pore through Bruce Feldman’s awesome, annual college football Freaks List.
Feldman dropped his top 101 Freaks List earlier this month in The Athletic. It features Ohio State’s amazing 19-year old wide receiver Jeremiah Smith at No. 1. Only one year earlier, we were writing about Smith as our No. 1 rated prep at Chaminade-Madonna in Hollywood, Florida.
But for those of us focused on the 2026 NFL Draft, Smith isn’t a factor. He is certainly the country’s gaudiest college athlete, at 6-3 1/2, 223 with 76 catches, 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns as a freshman, and the ability to soar 38 inches in the vertical jump, fly 23.5 miles per hour per GPS, bench 225 pounds 20 times and squat 550 pounds.
Whew.
But he wont be eligible for the draft until at least 2027. So Smith will need to survive his college years on his NIL income, which is estimated by On3 right now at a mere $4.2 million.
NFL Draft Scout does rate 44 of Feldman’s freaks as 2026 draft prospects, with at many as a dozen with first-round potential and 20 who could be selected in the first two rounds. We offer some nuggets of information on each of them below so you have talking points while watching the games that begin this weekend.
Top Freak among the 2026 draft prospects is Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa, whom we rate No. 4 overall heading into the season. This junior started since his first day as a freshman and our lead player analyst, Brian “Hitman” Hitterman, believes Mauigoa, at almost 6-6 and 315 pounds, may run 40 yards in 4.84 seconds.
Another draft-eligible Freak that demands mention is wide receiver Nyck Harbor from South Carolina. Harbor, the first back-to-back No. 1 Freak on Feldman’s list, fell to No. 3 this year but his credentials are still ridiculous.
Harbor is an Olympic-level sprinter in a tight end’s frame. At 6-6, 240, he clocked 10.2 seconds in the 100 meters and topped 23 mph on GPS. Still needs work as a receiver, so he is rated No. 91 for the draft, but expect somebody to take him earlier.
Here is the entire list, which also includes active players from Feldman’s 2024 group — indicated with an asterisk — whether or not he named them again. We include NFL Draft Scout’s data, most of it verified, and each player’s lowest estimate for the 40 yard dash.
