Looking at this week’s NFL Draft Scout ratings, the top 100 players include 60 on defense and 47 on offense, including some ties, with Edge topping the list with 20 compared to runners up wide receiver and defensive tackles at 16 each.

The draft will be in Pittsburgh April 23-25.

Quarterback, the key position that mistakenly determines public perception of draft strength, is in a down year. After No. 1 ranked Fermando Mendoza, National Champion Indiana’s Heisman Trophy Winner, there are only four more QBs in NDS’s top 100, which is less than the five or six picked in the first round alone during recent drafts.

We list only two quarterbacks in the first round with Alabama’s Ty Simpson at No. 19 overall. That said, quarterbacks have a way of shooting up the charts by draft day, so LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier and Miami’s Carson Beck — both previously rated No. 1 at some point — are now considered second or third round prospects. Check back and watch for their ascent.

Summary breakdown of the top ~750 at this point.

NDS lists 18 draftable quarterbacks including top rated Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza, but only two with first round potential and just five in the top 100. Below this chart is the downloadabe file that includes all results from the Combine as well as Pro Day dates.

Here is a downloadable excel workbook that includes all ~750 top prospects with results on all Combine events, Pro Day Dates and breakdowns for all positions.
